Orientation on Computer Based Testing
Participants will learn about the potential and pitfalls of computer-based testing and test environments. The course consists of presentations and workshops. All issues concerning the whole test cycle of computer-based testing will be addressed.
The first session will be a demonstration of several computer-based tests. Participants will screen the quality of these tests with the help of a checklist. Other topics in this course are:
- innovative questiontypes and the integration of multimedia in questions;
- item banking and test matrices;
- organization and delivery of computer-based assessments (including safety and privacy);
- analysis and reporting of test results.
The participants will finish the course by selecting a testing system and drawing up a scenario for the implementation of computer-based testing in their own organizations.
Participants are invited to bring their own materials. The trainer will contact the participants concerning the types of materials.
